RBI Assistant Mains Exam Pattern

  • RBI Main consists total of 200 questions.
  • For every correct answer 1 mark is awarded and for incorrect 0.25 will be deducted. 

The question paper pattern for the Main exam will be in the following format:

  • There will be negative marking in this exam.
  • 0.25 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer given by the candidate.
  • No marks will be deducted for the question that is not attempted by the candidate.
  • RBI can change the Assistant exam pattern as per its needs and requirements. The official notification specifies the RBI Assistant exam pattern every year.

Language Proficiency Test (LPT)

After selection from the main examination, candidates will have to take a language proficiency test (LPT). The test will be conducted in the Official / Local Language of the State concerned (Refer Annex-IV of the official notification released). Candidates not proficient in the Official/Local Language may get disqualified.

The interview almost takes 35 minutes and the major focus is to check the candidate’s capability, general awareness, and confidence.
