Complete detail of Ibps Clerk Prelims
The IBPS Clerk exam is conducted by The Institute for Banking Personnel Selection every year. The IBPS is the authoritative body for assessing recruiting candidates in public sector banks in India.
The preliminary exam of IBPS Clerk comprises English Language, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning Ability. The total marks of the test are 100. Candidates are required to qualify in each of the three tests by securing the cut-off marks. On the basis of IBPS Clerk result 2020 prelims, an adequate number of candidates in each category will be called for the mains exam. The preliminary exam is qualifying in nature. The marks obtained in the preliminary exam will not be counted for the final merit list, only the marks of IBPS Clerk Mains will be considered for the final merit list.

The exams are conducted in online mode and have multiple-choice questions.
IBPS Clerk Exam Pattern
- IBPS Clerk prelims will be a computer-based test and have multiple-choice questions.
- One question will have 5 answers as options, candidates have to choose the most appropriate one.
- Each section will have a specified time duration, candidates have to attempt each section in the specified duration only.
- IBPS Clerk is conducted in two phases: Preliminary & Main exam. IBPS basically tests the Aptitude, Problem Solving Skills, Analytical Skills, and Language Proficiency of the candidates.
- Candidates have to score overall as well as sectional cutoffs in order to clear the exam.
IBPS Clerk Exam Pattern for Prelims Exam
IBPS Clerk Preliminary exam will have a total of 100 multiple choice questions of 100 marks with a time duration of 1 hour. Sectional distribution of a number of question, marks, and sectional timing are described below:
